
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is reportedly “fighting for his political survival,” according to comments from Emeka Bekee, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bekee made the remark during an interview on Arise Television’s Morning Show, amid the ongoing political rivalry between Wike and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
He said, “What I think Minister Nyesom Wike is doing now is he’s fighting for survival. Nothing more.”
The APC chieftain also hinted that governors who recently defected to the APC may be given automatic tickets for a second term in 2027.

Bekee emphasized that Governor Fubara would not be excluded if the national leadership decides to adopt this approach, stating, “Nobody can deny Fubara his rights.”
