A housewife from Isoko, Delta State, has been arrested after allegedly killing her husband and his mistress, while injuring a neighbor, in Ighwre-Ovie, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
Sources say the woman, who is a mother of two, became enraged over her husband’s alleged extramarital affairs.
On the day of the incident, her husband reportedly returned home drunk, prompting her to attack him with a machete, killing him instantly.
A female neighbor who tried to intervene was also attacked and sustained serious injuries to her jaw. The suspect then went to the home of her husband’s alleged mistress, where she fatally assaulted the woman with a hammer.

Another woman narrowly escaped harm after hearing the commotion and raising an alarm, which ultimately led to the suspect’s arrest.
Authorities have confirmed that the woman is currently in police custody, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
