Shock has gripped the community of Tashar Aibo in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State after a newly married man was reportedly killed by his wife just three days after their wedding.
Neighbours reported that the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon while the man was resting at home. He was allegedly attacked in his sleep, sustaining a fatal knife wound to the neck.
The couple had celebrated their wedding on Thursday, November 18, 2025.
Residents gathered around the maize seller’s shop, struggling to come to terms with the tragic news. Many described him as humble, hardworking, and well-loved, leaving the community devastated.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement, as investigations into the incident continue.
