Popular Nigerian social media critic, VeryDarkMan, has strongly criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the rising cost of fuel in the country.
In a viral video shared on social media, the outspoken commentator reacted to reports that petrol prices have climbed beyond ₦1,000 per litre in several parts of Nigeria.
Expressing frustration, he described the Tinubu administration as “the worst thing that has ever happened to Nigeria.”
According to him, the country was in a better condition before the current administration took over. He accused the government of misleading Nigerians and claimed that the removal of fuel subsidy has only worsened the economic hardship faced by citizens.

VeryDarkMan argued that although the government promised that subsidy removal would benefit Nigerians, the reality has been a steady rise in fuel prices and an increase in the cost of living across the country.
He also criticized the state of the education sector, alleging that some Nigerian students who received scholarships under the current administration are stranded abroad, particularly in Morocco, without adequate support.
Questioning the government’s handling of public funds, the social media activist asked what had become of the money saved from the subsidy removal, insisting that many sectors meant to improve citizens’ welfare have continued to decline.
His comments have since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing mixed opinions about the rising fuel prices and the economic challenges currently facing the nation.
