South African singer Tyla has officially been removed from a high-profile royalty lawsuit concerning her global hit single “Water.”
The lawsuit, which originated in California in 2025, was initially filed by songwriters Olmo Zucca and Jackson LoMastro, who claimed they contributed to the track during a Los Angeles studio session but were not properly credited as producers.
Following the plaintiffs’ voluntary withdrawal of their claims against her, Tyla is no longer a defendant. This means she does not face any legal or financial repercussions in the case, she did not pay a settlement and did not admit to any wrongdoing.
