Residents of the Agbonchia community in the Eleme area of Rivers State were left in shock on Tuesday after a man reportedly collapsed and died while jogging along a roadside in the early hours of the day.
Eyewitnesses said the unidentified man was seen exercising along a major road in the community when he suddenly slumped.
Passersby quickly gathered at the scene, raising alarm and attempting to identify him.
A video circulating online captured the moment concerned residents stood around the lifeless body.
In the clip, a voice appealed to members of the public to help locate the deceased’s family.
“He was jogging before he collapsed.
If anyone recognises him, please contact his family. There is no pulse,” the narrator said.
Some residents claimed the incident had occurred just minutes before people began to gather, describing it as sudden and unexpected.

The man was seen lying motionless on the ground, prompting fears that he may have suffered a medical emergency.
