Suspected kidnappers allegedly intercepted a fully loaded commercial vehicle over the weekend, killing the driver and whisking away all passengers.
The incident reportedly occurred along the Ogobia–Adoka route in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
Suspected gunmen were said to have ambushed the vehicle, forcing it off the road into a nearby bush, where they allegedly shot the driver—identified as Arrow of God from the Aila community in Agatu LGA—before abducting all the passengers.
The incident occurred barely three weeks after another attack along the same Ogobia–Adoka axis, where armed men, believed to be robbers, reportedly opened fire on two policemen stationed at a checkpoint in Otukpo LGA.
Sources disclosed that the officers, Inspector Amos Okoh and Inspector Joseph Adowebo, were on routine patrol when they were suddenly attacked by the assailants.
