Tottenham Hotspur have officially appointed Roberto De Zerbi as their new head coach, bringing an end to weeks of speculation surrounding the club’s managerial position.
The North London side reached an agreement with De Zerbi, who has now accepted the role with immediate effect.
The Italian tactician is expected to sign a five-year contract that will see him lead Spurs in both the Premier League and European competitions.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development, stating that negotiations had been successfully concluded after initial reports surfaced earlier.
According to him, De Zerbi has embraced the challenge of managing Tottenham and is ready to begin work immediately.

De Zerbi’s appointment follows the departure of Igor Tudor, who was relieved of his duties after a string of poor results in the Premier League and Europa League.
Tottenham struggled for consistency under Tudor, suffering several unexpected defeats and dropping crucial points, which ultimately left the club outside the top spots in domestic competitions.
The board cited the need for a new tactical direction and stronger leadership as the key reasons for the managerial change.
The club’s hierarchy is believed to be confident in De Zerbi’s attacking philosophy and tactical approach, which earned him widespread praise in previous managerial roles.
His immediate task will be to stabilize the squad, improve performances, and position Tottenham as strong contenders both in England and across Europe.
With the new manager now in place, attention will quickly shift to how De Zerbi reshapes the team and whether he can deliver the success Spurs fans have long awaited.
