The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the deaths of two Nollywood production crew members who were found dead inside a parked vehicle at a film location in Lekki, Lagos.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that the suspect is a member of the production team who allegedly delivered food to the two men shortly before they were found unresponsive in the vehicle.
She said investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of death.
The victims were identified as lighting director Ekemini “GeeTee” Imeh and his associate, Ayodeji Walter Odediran.
Both men reportedly arrived early at the film set to install lighting equipment ahead of shooting. After completing their task, they sat inside a tinted Nissan vehicle parked within the premises to rest while awaiting further instructions.

A police source said that at about 11 a.m., another production staff member delivered breakfast to the two men inside the vehicle. At the time, the car’s air-conditioning was on and both appeared relaxed.
Subsequent attempts to reach them by phone went unanswered. When filming ended around 8 p.m., the two crew members were discovered lifeless inside the vehicle.
The incident was initially reported at the Maroko Police Station, while CCTV footage from the premises is being reviewed as part of ongoing investigations.
The bodies have been deposited at a morgue for autopsy and toxicology examinations to establish the cause of death.
Police confirmed that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
Authorities said findings from the autopsy and forensic tests will guide the next steps in the probe.
Until his death, Imeh was the chief executive officer of a lighting company and was known for his work on major productions, including the film King of Boys, as well as music videos for artistes such as Davido.
The incident comes days after gospel artiste Matthew Ogundele, popularly known as Segun Praise, and three members of his crew were found dead inside a music studio in Ajah, Lagos State, raising renewed concerns about safety on film and music production sets in the state.
