A military source revealed that among the casualties was Brigadier General Oseni Braimah, alongside the Brigade Imam and several other officers.
“The attack lasted for hours. It is very unfortunate,” the source said.
The DHQ described the assault as a desperate attempt by terrorists, who have suffered heavy losses in recent military operations across the North-East.
