The Rivers State Police Command has arrested Robinson Uche, 29, in connection with the murder of Shedrack Chukwem, 42, an indigene of Umuemeshie Community, Chokota, in Etche Local Government Area.
According to Grace Iringe-Koko, spokesperson for the State Police Command, Uche, along with four accomplices, was allegedly hired by a local monarch, Chief Elijah Okere, to forcibly take the victim to his palace.
The group encountered resistance at a family meeting, and in the ensuing confrontation, Chukwem was shot and killed.
