The Police Command in Ogun State has arrested at least three suspects in connection with the alleged murder of a young boy identified as Stanley Okirie in the Akute area of the state.
According to a statement issued on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, the suspects Maureen Okirie, Salia Karikari, and Jubril Karikari were arrested on Thursday following a tip-off from residents about suspicious activity in the area.
The police said operatives quickly responded to the information and arrived at the scene, where one of the suspects was allegedly caught attempting to bury the victim in a shallow grave in what appeared to be an effort to conceal the incident.

The suspected weapon used in the incident has since been recovered by the police.
The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the Life Channel Mortuary for autopsy.
The suspects are currently in police custody and will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
