Nigerian music superstar Davido has publicly expressed appreciation to his father, Adedeji Adeleke, for standing by him amid a renewed paternity controversy.
The drama began when Ayo Labinjoh’s teenage daughter, Aanu Adeleke, wrote an open letter requesting that Davido confirm whether he is her father through a DNA test.
Davido has consistently denied having any prior contact with Aanu Adeleke. In a series of posts on X, he revealed that five DNA tests conducted previously indicated that Aanu Adeleke is not his daughter.
Despite this, Ayo Labinjoh dismissed the results as fake, insisting that Davido is indeed her daughter’s father.
Amid the escalating claims, Adedeji Adeleke held a press conference on Wednesday to address the situation.
He disclosed that the paternity tests were carried out not only on Davido but also on his cousin, singer B-Red, to definitively clarify the child’s paternity.

The elder Adeleke emphasized that the tests were conducted professionally to ensure accurate results and to put an end to speculation.
In response to his father’s public support, Davido took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with Adedeji Adeleke, expressing his gratitude.
Captioning the post, he wrote, “Thank you my loving Father,” highlighting the important role his father played in defending him during the controversy.
