A roadside trader was injured on Wednesday after a section of a bridge railing under construction collapsed in the Ojuore area of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The incident occurred at about 4pm, according to the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE).
The trader, whose identity has yet to be confirmed, was reportedly conducting business near the construction site when the railing suddenly gave way, trapping him beneath the debris.
TRACE spokesperson, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said the victim sustained serious injuries and was rescued through the joint efforts of sympathisers, TRACE officials, police officers, and site engineers.
