
In a move highlighting the intersection of entertainment and governance, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, one of Nollywood’s most celebrated actresses, has been appointed Special Adviser on Public Engagement and Advocacy by the Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo.
The appointment was confirmed in a statement released by Musa Ikhilor, Secretary to the State Government, on Thursday.

In her new role, she will use her public profile and communication expertise to engage Edo State residents, promoting awareness of government programs and fostering stronger community participation.
