NNPCL Slashes Petrol Price Twice in Less Than a Week

For the second time in less than a week, the pump price of premium motor spirit (petrol) has been reduced.

Monitoring of retail outlets in Abuja shows that the price has dropped from N930 to N920 per liter, marking a N10 reduction per liter.

The latest adjustment comes as the state-owned Nigerian Petroleum Company Limited continues to review fuel prices in response to market conditions.

Motorists can now purchase petrol at the new lower rate, providing some relief amid ongoing concerns over fuel costs across the country.

On Thursday, NNPCL implemented the new petrol price at its filling stations in Gwarimpa, along Kubwa Expressway, and in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja.

The state-owned oil company had previously reduced its fuel price by 15 naira per liter on November 28, 2025.

Chinedu Ukadike, spokesperson for the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, said fuel prices are expected to keep falling due to the competition among key players in the country’s downstream oil sector.
