Ned Nwoko, the Delta north senator has stated that his wife, popular actress Regina Daniels, will undergo rehabilitation to address drug abuse concerns and ensure her overall well-being.
He explained that his decision stemmed from a desire to see her alive and healthy enough to care for their children.
Speaking with newsmen on Sunday, Nwoko emphasized that sending the 25-year-old actress for rehabilitation was essential to ensure she remains in the right state of mind to raise their two kids.
The lawmaker explained that his position was prompted by troubling toxicology reports showing elevated levels of harmful substances in Daniels’ system. He added that her usually calm demeanor had shifted in recent months, with signs of violent and destructive behavior and repeated health crises.
He said he wants her alive and healthy — not just for him, but for their two young children.
“They can’t fight for themselves, so I will fight for them by safeguarding their mother,” he added, warning that many people have died from drug overdoses. “If anything happens to her now, what will I tell our children tomorrow?”
