
Two members of a Nollywood production crew were found dead inside a parked vehicle at a movie location in Lekki Phase 1, sparking shock and grief within the film community.
The deceased were identified as Godstime Imeh, a lighting director and CEO of GeeTee Light, and Walter Odediran, a creative video director popularly known as Director Carrinqton.
The incident occurred on Saturday, February 7, 2026, while a movie was being filmed at the location.
Sources said both men arrived early in the day to install lighting equipment for the production.
After completing their setup around mid-morning, they reportedly decided to rest inside Imeh’s tinted Nissan vehicle while waiting for further instructions.
Breakfast was later delivered to them at about 11 a.m.
Colleagues became worried when repeated calls to their phones went unanswered.

Later in the evening, after filming wrapped up, the two men were discovered motionless inside the vehicle.
The movie was said to be directed by former reality TV star Boma Akpore.
Speaking on the incident, Kola Odediran, elder brother of Walter, described the loss as devastating for the family.
He said the two men worked closely together and were well-known in the industry for their professionalism and dedication to their craft.
The matter was initially reported at a local police station before being transferred to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department for a full investigation.
Police confirmed that the film producer, a food vendor, a crew member who delivered the meal, and representatives of nearby facility management had been questioned.
Investigators are examining several possibilities, including environmental factors, possible ingestion of harmful substances, and mechanical issues related to the vehicle.
Authorities are also looking into the presence of heavy-duty industrial generators near the parking area where the car was found.
Forensic procedures, including autopsy, toxicology tests, mechanical inspection of the vehicle, and review of available CCTV footage, are ongoing to determine the exact cause of death.
Police said all possibilities remain open pending the outcome of laboratory analyses.
Family members of the deceased have appealed for a thorough investigation to ensure the circumstances surrounding the deaths are clearly established.
