Veteran Nollywood actress and evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, has opened up about the painful experience she endured in her failed marriage, revealing that her parents had warned her against the relationship from the beginning.
Speaking during an appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, the actress shared details about the emotional and financial struggles she faced while married to her former husband, Charles Ekwu.
According to Anunobi, she ignored her parents’ advice because she believed love and commitment would eventually make the marriage work.
She said she remained hopeful that her husband would stand by her through difficult times, just as he had promised before they got married.

The actress explained that Ekwu worked as a businessman, but claimed he rarely contributed financially to the household because his business was unstable and he was not earning consistently at the time.
As a result, she said she ended up carrying most of the financial responsibilities in the home.
Anunobi stated that throughout the marriage, she struggled to keep things together while hoping the situation would improve.
Despite the challenges and the early warnings from her parents, she said she tried to make the union work before it eventually collapsed.
Her revelation has since sparked reactions on social media, with many fans expressing sympathy for the actress and praising her for speaking openly about her past marriage experience.
