Mass defections from opposition parties into the All Progressives Congress (APC) have intensified, with the ruling party attributing the trend to internal failures within other political groups.
Speaking on Arise Television on Friday, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said some parties are more focused on the APC than addressing their own organisational challenges.
He explained that the APC is “busy doing exactly what a political party is expected to do in a democracy” and insisted that nothing the party does should concern Nigerians.
Morka added that the APC keeps its doors open in line with democratic principles, allowing citizens the freedom to join or leave any political association, including the APC, ADC, or PDP.
He further challenged the spokespersons of the PDP and ADC to provide evidence supporting claims that the APC has engaged in any undemocratic conduct.
