Popular Nollywood star, Mercy Johnson, has broken her silence on reports alleging that Senator Ned Nwoko ordered the arrest and detention of Regina Daniels’ elder brother.
Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy West, was reportedly arrested in Lagos on Sunday by Senator Ned Nwoko over his alleged involvement in the senator’s ongoing marital crisis.
The arrest came just a week after Regina accused her husband of domestic violence and filed for divorce.
Amid the couple’s messy breakup, Mercy Johnson, known as Regina Daniels’ godmother, voiced her disapproval over the arrest of Sammy West.
Questioning the integrity of Nigeria’s justice system, she stated: “The worst form of injustice is pretended justice.”
“For two days, no one has been allowed to see the arrested child, who was reportedly flown from Lagos to Abuja and is allegedly being taken straight to court from the airport. How did we get here? Nigeria… unbelievable.”
