Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Pere Egbi, has advised young single women, particularly those living in Nigeria, against living alone, describing the practice as unsafe and not ideal.
Pere made the statement via his official X (formerly Twitter) account, where he urged single women to always have someone living with them for companionship and security.
He suggested that friends or family members should be accommodated to reduce risks associated with living alone.
“Personal advice to young women living in Nigeria who are single: don’t live alone by yourself. Have someone stay with you always a friend or family member,” he wrote.
The reality TV star’s comment came amid growing public concern over personal safety, following reports of the death of Abuja-based singer, Ifunanya Nwangene, who allegedly died after suffering a snake bite in her residence.

When asked by a follower if his advice was influenced by the incident, Pere responded, “everything.”
He further clarified that his view was not directed at women alone, stressing that living alone is generally not advisable regardless of gender.
Pere’s remarks have since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users agreeing that safety concerns make shared living preferable, while others insist that living alone remains a personal choice that can be managed responsibly.
