Popular Nigerian singer Busola Oke, professionally known as Eleyele, has opened up about her financial struggles and mental health challenges after a disturbing video of her went viral on social media.
In the clip, she appeared visibly distressed, lamenting loneliness, helplessness, and lack of peace. Speaking to actress Biola Adebayo on the Talk to B podcast, Eleyele revealed that she is battling depression, is homeless, and is heavily in debt.
The singer explained that her financial troubles began in 2020, when she faced a series of personal and professional setbacks, including failed music projects and loss of income streams, which left her unable to pay rent or cover basic living expenses.

“I did that video because I was hungry and needed emotional support. I don’t have a house to sleep in, I owe a lot, and sometimes I even pray to God to take my life if He doesn’t want to sustain me,” she said.
She added that her manager has been a key support during these difficult times. Eleyele’s plea has drawn concern from fans, with many urging friends and associates to check on her well-being.
