Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has spoken out against what she describes as growing pressure on actors to engage in social media trends as a condition for promoting their films.
In a firm statement, Omotola said she believes storytelling and quality performances, not viral dances or online gimmicks, should be the core tools for selling a movie.
She stressed that while social media can be useful for promotion, it should not be forced on actors who are uncomfortable with such methods.
