Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has shared personal revelation about her battle with addiction, disclosing that she began smoking at the age of 13 and struggled with the habit for 27 years.
Speaking during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church, Dikeh opened up about her journey through not only smoking but also issues with alcoholism, masturbation, and long-standing anger. She described these struggles as forms of “demonic oppression” and credited her freedom from them to divine intervention, emphasizing that significant changes began to take place as her spiritual life deepened.
“I’ve been smoking since I was 13. God healed me from masturbation as well. I’ve had dreams of sexual intercourse since I was a child,” the 40-year-old actress shared candidly.
She explained that her addiction to smoking stemmed from her father’s own smoking habits and urged parents to be mindful of the behaviors they expose their children to.
Dikeh also mentioned that God recently healed her of “demonic anger,” an issue she said had negatively impacted her relationships and personal life.
Following her testimony, Pastor Jerry Eze, the founder of the church, prayed for Dikeh, declaring that “the burden of sin is broken” and calling her “a voice in her generation.”
