Nigerian singer Harrison Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, has revealed that his long-standing feud with former record label boss Kcee significantly affected his music career.
The Delta-born singer recounted how disagreements with Kcee and 5ive Star Music, dating back to 2017, distracted him from focusing on his craft. The dispute began when Harrysong accused the label of withholding royalties, imposing unfair treatment, and restricting his creativity.
Speaking in a recent interview with Jusmen 105.7 FM, Harrysong admitted that the conflict often took his attention away from recording music. “The beef with Kcee used to distract me, it used to affect the music.
Most of the time, instead of recording, I would be thinking about how to reply Kcee and continue to fight,” he explained.

Harrysong further revealed that he has now resolved his differences with Kcee and 5ive Star Music. He added that he has learned to develop a thicker skin, ensuring that controversies no longer interfere with his creativity or career progression.
