Actress and TV host Tope Olowoniyan has reflected on her journey laying emphasis on the importance of starting where you are and building with what you have, even if it seems insignificant.
Tope, on Instagram, encouraged focusing on your own path, celebrating every win, no matter how small, and being open to growth and learning.
She also stressed the value of knowing your worth and being clear about what you want.
She advised against settling for less, stressing on the need to be vocal about it.
Tope acknowledged that growth can be a scary process, but it’s also incredibly rewarding.

Olowoniyan said: “Going through my gallery and just taking in the behind the scenes of Lights, camera, it’s my turn and just realizing that all I have to say to every single person is; Start where you are and with what you have, build with that in your hand, even if you don’t have all the resources, just keep building, it’s so soul filling too keep building your own blocks, tiny blocks or large blocks, just keep building, focus on your own race, celebrate every single win, because it is authentic to you and it reminds you of where you were, where you are and it affirms everywhere you want to go in the future.
“Don’t be rigid, learn, be open to suggestions, but also know what you want, and when you know what you are receiving isn’t what you want , refuse to take it, and be vocal about it, there are times you don’t know what you want, but you know it isn’t what you are receiving too, speak up and own your truth and look at options till your spirit settles with what it wants. Growth is a process, it’s scary sometimes but it’s so rewarding”.
