At least four people lost their lives while eleven others sustained injuries in a tragic accident on Sunday along the Lokoja-Ajaokuta road in Kogi State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kogi State Sector Commander, Tenimu Etuku, told newsmen on Monday that the crash involved an 18-seater Toyota commercial bus and occurred at Jimgbe Community in Ajaokuta Local Government Area.
He confirmed that the injured were promptly rescued by FRSC personnel and taken to the Kogi State Specialist Hospital for medical attention, while the bodies of the deceased were deposited at the hospital morgue.
Etuku added that the 18-seater bus, bearing Abuja registration number ABC 232 XA, was en route from Enugu to Abuja when the tragic accident occurred.
