Abuja police have arrested four men on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, for allegedly impersonating the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, in a sophisticated scam that defrauded victims of over N150 million.
The main suspect, Yashim Kajang, was apprehended after allegedly deceiving a retired military officer, Major General A.K. Ibrahim, and other victims with promises of securing land allocations in Guzape II Cadastral Zone.
Kajang reportedly claimed he had close connections with Minister Wike and officials in the Department of Lands, convincing victims that he could facilitate official land documents in exchange for large sums of money.
During investigations, Kajang identified three accomplices, Stephen Mhambe, Danladi Jatau, and Terngu Ipaven, who were subsequently arrested.
