The Super Eagles have made a significant leap in the latest FIFA rankings, moving up three places to now sit at 36th in the world.
This improvement reflects their strong performance, particularly after their recent victory over Libya, where they secured a 1-0 win in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.
In the African context, the Super Eagles have also climbed from sixth to fourth position, now trailing only behind the Atlas Lions of Morocco, Teranga Lions of Senegal, and Pharaohs of Egypt.
Globally, Argentina continues to lead the rankings, followed by France and Spain, with England and Brazil rounding out the top five.
The next FIFA World Ranking is set to be released on November 28, and it will be interesting to see how further matches and performances might affect these standings.
