Veteran Nollywood actress Eucharia Anunobi has revealed the backlash she faced after her role in Glamour Girls 2 nearly 30 years ago.
Speaking on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Anunobi shared that playing Anita, a bold and promiscuous escort, led many people to confuse her real-life personality with that of her character.
“Some people called me Sharon Stone, Mammy Water, Husband Snatcher… They thought I would steal their husbands,” she recounted.

The actress explained that the character she portrayed snatched a wealthy man from his wife, fueling public misunderstanding about her personal life.
Anunobi stressed that she was only acting a script, adding humorously that she was indeed alluring but insisted, “If I deny that, I deny God.”
She also revealed she received extra pay for the sizzling bathtub scene with Zack Orji in the movie.
Despite the criticism, Anunobi remains proud of her work and the mark it left on Nollywood cinema.
