Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine, has disclosed that discussions are currently underway with the Adeleke family to settle the child custody dispute involving music star Davido and Sophia Momodu.
Momodu made the revelation while responding to appeals from members of the public urging him to step into the ongoing legal battle between Davido and Sophia, who is his niece.
The custody case recently took a dramatic turn after Davido reportedly withdrew the suit. This followed remarks made in court by Sophia’s lawyer, who referenced the tragic death of the singer’s late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

Addressing calls for his intervention, Momodu — who is currently in Liberia to commiserate with former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor over the loss of her only child — assured the public that efforts are being made behind closed doors to amicably resolve the matter.
“There’s nothing to worry about. Everything will be fine. We are working quietly behind the scenes. Please keep everyone in your prayers,” he said.
