Apostle Arome Osayi has shared the harrowing experience of losing his brother to kidnappers, revealing how the ordeal tested his faith yet strengthened his resolve.
In a recent sermon, Osayi recounted how his brother was abducted and held for a ransom of millions of naira. Despite the family meeting the captors’ demands, they were later summoned to retrieve his brother’s body from the forest.
Speaking on the heartbreak, Osayi said his faith helped him stay composed. “Nothing can prepare you for such pain,” he admitted. “I did not shed a tear—not because I wasn’t attached to him, but because I understand the Word. It teaches you to remain steady in the midst of trials.”
He added that his resilience was a conscious choice: “I refused to let this tragedy give the enemy an advantage. Your life follows your most dominant thoughts, and I chose to keep my focus on faith and perseverance.”
