
FC Barcelona Femení delivered a spectacular performance to thrash Real Madrid Femenino 6-2 in the first leg of their UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final.
Barcelona set the tone early, with Ewa Pajor and Esmee Brugts scoring within the first 13 minutes. Linda Caicedo pulled one back for Madrid, but Irene Paredes quickly restored Barcelona’s two-goal lead with a towering header.
In the second half, Barcelona continued their dominance. Pajor added her second of the night before Vicky Lopez extended the lead further.

Caicedo struck again to give Madrid a faint glimmer of hope, but Alexia Putellas sealed the emphatic win with a late penalty.
The victory underlines Barcelona’s supremacy this season, they remain unbeaten in 25 matches across all competitions and have now won all four meetings against Real Madrid, scoring 16 goals while conceding just two.
With this dominant display, Barcelona look firmly on course for another semi-final appearance, while Real Madrid face a daunting task to overturn the four-goal deficit in the return leg.
