Regina Daniels’ best friend, Ann, has been released from detention following her arrest over an alleged $40,000 theft case linked to the actress’ estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Ann reportedly regained her freedom on Wednesday evening after spending two nights in custody. The case was adjourned by the court to March 5, 2026.
The development was confirmed by Regina Daniels’ elder brother, Sammy, who shared updates via his Instagram story.
Prior to Ann’s release, Sammy had alleged that she was taken to court without access to her legal representative or family members.
According to him, neither her lawyer nor relatives were informed of her whereabouts or the court proceedings before the matter was adjourned.

“Similar techniques. Not letting legal representative or family aware of the whereabouts. Not allowing anyone know the court, final stage prison. Case adjourned until March 5th,” Sammy wrote.
Hours later, he announced her release, posting simply: “My T.E.D. Ann is out.”
Ann was arrested in Lagos on Monday and flown to Abuja in a private jet following allegations made by Senator Ned Nwoko, who reportedly accused her of theft involving the sum of $40,000.
The fresh allegation comes barely two months after Regina Daniels reportedly parted ways with the lawmaker amid allegations of domestic violence, a development that has continued to spark reactions on social media and within the entertainment industry.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Ann nor her legal team has publicly commented on the details of the case. The matter is expected to return to court when proceedings resume in March.
