Daniel Bwala, special adviser on policy communication to President Bola Tinubu, says Peter Obi will not clinch either the presidential or vice-presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Bwala argued that Obi has lost control of the political structure he relied on during the 2023 elections, claiming many of his former allies and lawmakers no longer identify with him.

He also accused Peter Obi of repeatedly switching political platforms, which he described as a sign of inconsistency.
According to Bwala, Obi’s earlier rise in popularity was driven more by temporary momentum and online support than by deep grassroots strength.
He predicted that Obi may eventually contest the next election on a different political platform outside both the Labour Party and the ADC.
Bwala further maintained that Obi would find it difficult to match his 2023 electoral performance, describing him as an “actor” in the political space rather than a dominant force.
