After spending two days in detention.
Ogala regained her freedom on Monday, following her arrest on Saturday over allegations involving the founder of Grace Nation Ministry, Chris Okafor.
She confirmed her release in a post shared on her Instagram page on Monday, informing fans and followers of the development.
Doris Ogala has broken her silence following her release from police custody, expressing appreciation to human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, and social media influencer, VeryDarkMan, for their roles in securing her freedom.
In a brief post shared online, the actress wrote, “Thank you, Sowore. Thanks so much to my ratel king,” celebrating what she described as timely intervention.
Ogala’s arrest followed weeks of intense public controversy sparked by a viral video showing Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Ministry, engaging another woman. The development reignited claims earlier made by the actress that she had been romantically involved with the cleric since 2017.
According to Ogala, she left her former marriage at Okafor’s insistence, based on repeated assurances that he intended to marry her. She later accused him of betrayal after images from his white wedding and traditional marriage ceremonies surfaced online last Wednesday.
The situation escalated when the actress reportedly issued an ultimatum, demanding that the cleric either marry her or compensate her financially by purchasing a house.
Tensions peaked last Friday after she briefly posted, then deleted, an image allegedly showing Okafor in a private bedroom setting.
The unfolding saga has continued to dominate social media and public discourse, with legal and reputational implications still hanging over both parties.
