
A tragic accident has claimed the life of an abroad-based Nigerian after a heavy-duty truck crashed into a building in Osisioma, along the Aba–Port Harcourt Expressway in Abia State.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday, involved a long truck conveying goods that reportedly lost control and rammed into the fence of a building. In the process, the truck struck a motorcyclist and two other men.
Eyewitnesses in the area revealed that the deceased had recently returned to Nigeria from an Asian country where he resided.
The impact of the crash led to the immediate death of one of the victims, while two others sustained serious injuries.

Officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Abia State Sector Command, swiftly responded to the scene and evacuated the injured to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
As of the time of filing this report, the exact cause of the accident remains unclear. Authorities have not yet determined whether it was due to over-speeding, brake failure, or other factors, as investigations are still ongoing.
Confirming the incident, the Abia State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Ngozi Ezeoma, stated that three adult males were involved in the crash.
“Yes, the truck rammed into a fence and hit an Okada rider. Three male adults were involved, and one died,” she said.
