
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State has been thrown into mourning following the death of three prominent party leaders.
The deceased are Hon. Onojah James Ignatius, Hon. Jatto Onimisi Suleiman, and Alhaji Alih Atabo.
Their deaths were confirmed on Monday by the Kogi State Government in a statement issued in Lokoja by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo.
The statement described the late party members as dedicated public servants who contributed significantly to the growth of the APC and the development of the state.

Hon. Onojah James Ignatius served as Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State and was a former Chairman of Igalamela Local GovernHon.
Jatto Onimisi Suleiman was a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, while Alhaji Alih Atabo was the APC Chairman of Anyigba Ward in Dekina Local Government Area.
According to the state government, Ignatius was widely respected for his grassroots political engagement and commitment to community development.
Suleiman was described as a humble and diligent aide who carried out his responsibilities with a strong sense of duty, while Atabo was praised for his unwavering loyalty and efforts in strengthening the party at the ward level.
The statement did not disclose the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo extended condolences to the families of the deceased, members of the APC, and residents of the affected communities, including Igalamela, Okene, and Dekina.
He noted that the contributions and legacies of the late party leaders would continue to be remembered and appreciated across the state.
The government also urged party members and supporters to honour their memories by upholding the values of service and dedication which they exemplified during their lifetimes.
