
Globally acclaimed Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, have suffered a profound personal tragedy with the loss of one of their twin sons, Nkanu Nnamdi.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed in an official statement released on Wednesday, revealing that the child passed away on January 7, 2026, after a brief illness. He was 21 months old at the time of his death.
