Reacting to an exchange between Wike and APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, said Wike was expelled from the PDP and accused the APC of exploiting him for political gain, only to raise objections once the relationship became inconvenient.

Ememobong stated, “The law does not allow you to benefit from a wrong you created, nor can you complain of a voluntary injury.

The benefits of this nuisance accrued to the APC, and they must now manage the fallout.”
He also dismissed attempts to drag the PDP into the controversy, pointing out that the conduct now criticized was previously applauded when it served APC’s interests.

“When the APC engaged him in ways that favored them, there were no complaints,” he added.
Ememobong concluded with a warning to the APC, saying, “This is what happens when you keep feeding a monster… one day, you end up in the belly of the monster.
