Nigerian singer Skales has shared a testimony recounting how his career took a dramatic turn in 2025, crediting a viral video featuring Barcelona teenage sensation Lamine Yamal as the moment that changed everything.
The artist made the revelation during a testimony session at Harvesters Church, where he described 2025 as one of the most spiritually challenging periods of his life. He said he began the year in intense prayer and fasting, writing down seven specific prayer requests as he sought a breakthrough amid public criticism and uncertainty about his career.
According to Skales, all seven prayer points were answered in a single day, with one event standing out above the rest. He explained that a short clip of Lamine Yamal dancing to his 2015 hit song, Shake Body, went viral and reignited widespread interest in his music.

The video quickly gained traction across social media, drawing reactions from fans and industry stakeholders and triggering what the singer described as a major career resurgence.
The renewed attention later earned Skales invitations to high-profile events, including celebrations surrounding Barcelona’s Copa del Rey victory, where he performed.
Reflecting on the experience, Skales said it strengthened his faith and underscored the power of divine timing.
“Earlier this year, I prayed and fasted like never before because people were laughing at my career,” he told the congregation. “I wrote down seven prayer points, and all of them happened in one day. The one that changed my life was when Lamine Yamal danced to my song and it went viral.”
Inspired by the moment, the singer has since released a tribute track titled Dance Like Lamine Yamal, describing the experience as proof that a single moment can transform years of struggle.
