Queen Mercy Atang has confirmed that her one-year marriage has ended. The former Big Brother Naija star married David Oyekanmi in March 2024, shortly after a public dispute with her baby’s father, skit maker Lord Lamba.
Rumours of problems in the marriage started a few months later when Queen unfollowed her husband on Instagram and deleted their wedding photos. At the time, she explained that she just wanted to keep her marriage private and off social media.
The confirmation of her separation came recently after a fan commented on a photo she shared from Mercy Aigbe’s mother’s burial.
The fan asked if she was still married, adding that she was “too beautiful to be single.” Queen replied simply and clearly:
“Single and unavailable.”
This makes it clear that the reality star is now focused on herself and her child.
