A Lagos-based photographer, Eman Pictures, has recovered a stolen MacBook Pro and four external hard drives following a public appeal for assistance on social media.
The equipment was reportedly stolen from the bride’s room at Oriental Hotel, Lagos, on October 31, while the photographer was covering a wedding ceremony.
The stolen bag contained a MacBook Pro M1 and four external hard drives holding video recordings from five weddings that were yet to be delivered to the couples.
Following the incident, the photographer shared CCTV footage on social media showing a man allegedly entering the room, taking the bag and leaving the hotel.
Eman Pictures also announced a ₦500,000 reward for anyone who could provide credible information leading to the identification of the suspect and recovery of the missing belongings.
The appeal attracted widespread attention, with photographers, videographers, bloggers and other social media users sharing the footage to help locate the missing equipment.
