The incident occurred following Argentina’s 1-0 defeat to Spain in the World Cup final held at MetLife Stadium. Spain secured victory through a decisive extra-time goal from Ferran Torres.
During the medal presentation, FIFA President Gianni Infantino stood alongside Trump, who played a prominent role in the ceremony and later presented the World Cup trophy to Spain captain Rodri.

Meanwhile, Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni appeared visibly emotional during his post-match press conference, reflecting on his team’s narrow loss.
Scaloni, who guided Argentina to World Cup glory in 2022 and two Copa América titles, praised his players’ effort despite falling short on the biggest stage.
