A mother, her four-year-old son, and a man identified as ‘Shanko’ were found dead on Wednesday in their residence at Egbe Subair area of Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State. The discovery has left the community in shock as police begin investigations into what led to the deaths.
Residents who visited the scene said the bodies of the woman and the man were found inside the toilet of the house, while the child was found in one of the rooms. Parts of the toilet and other items in the premises appeared damaged, suggesting a struggle may have occurred before they died.
Speculation within the community points to possible poisoning as the cause, though nothing has been confirmed. Neighbors said they raised the alarm after noticing the house was unusually quiet and later forced entry when no one responded.
