
A tragic incident has plunged a family into grief in the Ogbunabali area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, after a learner driver reportedly rammed into a residential building, killing three young siblings.
The victims, aged 10, four, and three, were said to be inside their home when the accident occurred on May 15.
According to eyewitness accounts, a man was allegedly teaching his girlfriend how to drive when she lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the house.
A resident of the area revealed that people had raised alarm as the inexperienced driver struggled to control the car before it veered off the road and smashed into the building.
“The children were at home when it happened. Before anyone could react, the vehicle had already crashed into the house, killing them instantly,” the source said.
The devastated mother of the children, identified as Amarachi Promise Esomonu, has since called for justice, expressing deep pain over the loss of her children.

In an emotional video circulating online, she lamented the silence of those responsible and the unbearable reality she now faces daily.
“Every morning, my alarm rings to prepare my children for school, but they are no longer there. Their killers are comfortable and saying nothing,” she said tearfully.
The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the incident and assured the public that a full investigation is underway.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Blessing Agabe, stated that the Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, has ordered a thorough probe into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
The command also extended condolences to the bereaved family, describing the incident as deeply saddening and one that has sparked widespread concern across the state.
Authorities have pledged that anyone found responsible will be held accountable, while urging residents to remain calm and cooperate with ongoing investigations.
