The Nigeria Police Force has arrested eight persons suspected of involvement in kidnapping following a coordinated security operation in Rukubi Community, Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
According to police authorities, the operation followed a distress call received in the early hours of May 7, after armed men allegedly invaded the community the previous night.
The attackers were reported to have opened fire sporadically, causing panic among residents before abducting two individuals from different homes.
In response, operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command, working together with other security agencies and local vigilante groups, launched a joint search-and-rescue operation in the area. The effort led to the arrest of eight suspects believed to be connected to the attack.
