
The Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area in Delta State, Bright Abeke, has been reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen.
The incident occurred on Friday evening at about 7:25 p.m. at a hotel situated along Owumi Road, according to eyewitness accounts.
Sources revealed that the assailants arrived in a vehicle, opened fire to create panic, and forcefully whisked the council chairman away to an undisclosed location.
During the attack, a local vigilante member identified as Ufuoma and another individual sustained injuries amid the chaos.
