The Quintuplets Receiving Treatment
A woman identified as Hafsatu Yusuf has died after giving birth to quintuplets at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital in Kano State.
The Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Ministry of Health, Nabilusi Abubakar K/Na’isa, confirmed the incident during a telephone interview on Thursday.
According to him, Yusuf passed away around 2:00 p.m. at the hospital following complications from childbirth. She reportedly experienced persistent bleeding after delivering the five babies three boys and two girls.
“She had been bleeding since after delivery, and all efforts by doctors to stabilise her proved unsuccessful,” K/Na’isa stated.
He added that the deceased has since been buried in line with Islamic rites at her residence in Hotoro.
